Every year hundreds of students graduate from University Centre Peterborough (UCP) and this year was no exception. One particular student graduating with a BA (Hons) Journalism, has been particularly successful, securing a job with an independent publishing house.

Jessamy Hudson left school after completing her GCSEs and worked at McDonalds for two years whilst studying a one-evening-a-week journalism diploma at Peterborough Regional College (PRC). From this course, Jessamy was persuaded that she had the ability to do a degree despite, to her surprise, having no A Levels.

Jessamy says: "My life is now unrecognisable compared to four years ago. I'm working full-time at an independent publishing house, entirely thanks to the short course I started at PRC over four years ago. I'm forever grateful to my tutor for believing in me and guiding me through three wonderful years of university, which I might never have had the opportunity to experience."

She went on to add that the "fantastic, experienced tutors, brand new world-class resources, and a genuine interest in all its students set this university apart. In three years I had nothing to complain about and I was always genuinely grateful for my tutors' expert help and encouragement. For those who, like me, truly want to get on in life and make the best of their natural abilities, Peterborough is unbeatable. Thank you."
