Alumni Relations

Sue Jacobs

A very warm welcome to you all. As Head of Alumni Relations I am responsible for providing a programme of events and services which will help to foster and deepen the relationship built up between you and your University while you were studying, continuing this so it becomes a lifelong relationship now you have graduated and become one of our alumni.

You are part of a worldwide community of over 55,000 active past students of Anglia Ruskin University and its prior institutions. We count many successful and famous people among our alumni - Nick Crane (Coast and Map Man), Roger Law (Spitting Image), Edward Bawden (artist & illustrator), Ronald Searle (illustrator and originator of St Trinians), Baroness Patricia Scotland (Attorney General) and Kim Howells (Government Minister) to name but a few!

So please do explore the pages on this website to see the wide range of services and benefits you can access as part of our alumni community.

The team

The Alumni team comprises Alumni Officers Sharon Wuyts and Erin Butcher, who work together on most things related to our service to alumni. They are here to help you with any enquiries you may have, whether it's wanting to find an old friend, help in organising a reunion, sourcing a transcript, a change of address - or even just a chat. They'd love to hear from you, so please do get in contact.

Sharon and Erin also have specific areas of responsibility related to Faculties and projects. Sharon is the Alumni Officer who has responsibility for the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Health and Social Care and Anglia Law School. She also looks after your benefits and services package and the e-newsletter.

Erin has responsibility for the Ashcroft International Business School, the Faculty of Science & Technology and the Cambridge School of Art. She also looks after our Honorary Award holders.

Linda Ajam

Both Officers will be involved with the parts of the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences not covered by the Anglia Law School and the Cambridge School of Art.

We are deilghted that Linda Ajam has joined us for 12 months as our Development Officer to cover Claire Shearer's post while she is on maternity leave. Linda will be working to identify possible sources of philanthropic support for Anglia Ruskin which could be used towards future developments at our University.

In particular, Linda will be looking at ways we can take advantage of the Matched Funding scheme under which the government will give us £1 for every £3 we raise and we will be giving you regular updates on our progress with this exciting opportunity.

She will also be responsible for developing an exciting new website featuring all of our development activities - we'll let you know when it goes live.
