We have some fantastic facilities available to students at both our campuses. Chelmsford and Cambridge both have modern air conditioned fitness centres with heavily subsidised membership schemes, meaning you can keep fit without feeling pain in your wallet. Your annual membership fee will provide you with a free induction, and then you have the option to have a personal training plan devised for you for a small charge. Our team of fitness instructors at both sites look forward to helping you to achieve your goals, however modest or ambitious they may be.

Chelmsford
In Chelmsford we have the Mildmay Sports Centre on campus, where students can hire our sports hall to play many sports including badminton, football, basketball and indoor cricket. Our centre is also the base for several local community sports clubs who welcome students to their weekly activities, including the popular volleyball and fencing clubs. We have access to playing fields and an artificial pitch within walking distance of the Sports Centre, and a 'trim trail' which runs throughout our campus. We also have a separate room on campus with a sprung wooden floor which we use for most fitness classes.

Cambridge
In Cambridge, we use the neighbouring Parkside Pools and Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre. Just a stone's throw from our university campus, these facilities provide access to a 25m swimming pool, health spa with sauna, sanarium, spa pool, one of the biggest sports halls in the region, a climbing wall and squash courts. On campus we have a dance studio, a tennis court and the fitness centre. We have our own playing fields at the nearby Howes Close Sports Ground, which is home to our football, rugby and cricket teams.

We also have 5 outdoor table tennis tables that are free for students to use at all times - 3 in Cambridge and 2 in Chelmsford.
