Active Anglia
This is a fantastic year to be joining Anglia Ruskin University, as we launch our new Active Anglia strategy - our plan to increase the number of opportunities that you have to stay fit and healthy. So whether you have aspirations of making the next Olympics or simply want to keep fit, we'll have something for you.
Taking part in sport and recreational activities whilst at Anglia Ruskin is something that every student should consider. There is no better way to meet lots of new people quickly and you'll be able to pick up new skills and experiences along the way that will greatly enhance your CV in the eyes of future employers. In addition to that our sports clubs are great fun to be a part of, providing you with opportunities to relax and socialise alongside the rigours of your academic studies.
As well as the many clubs that are supported through our Students' Union, we offer studio classes, 'Give It a Go' taster sessions and recreational activities for those looking for something less physical. We also run fitness centres at both Chelmsford and Cambridge which you can access for a reduced membership. In addition to our own sports facilities we also have access to those run by our local partners including swimming pools and an ice rink.
The following pages will give you an overview of what's on offer but the best way to keep informed is to like us on Facebook. Here you will be the first to know of any new activities and special offers as well as keeping in touch with how our teams are performing.
We are convinced that sport and activity should be an integral part of your time at university - all you need to do is come along and give something a try!
