Fresh Thinking
Perhaps you have a specific project which you know would benefit from some fresh thinking. If this is the case, you should consider a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). The scheme provides short, medium and long-term benefits for the organisation and makes a positive impact on UK competitiveness. The cost for businesses to become involved in the scheme is incredibly low (for an SME all costs are funded with a 67% grant) but the benefits are substantial. KTPs have a long and successful track record in transferring knowledge from academics to organisations just like yours.
We also offer short term programmes, which enable the transfer of knowldge from academics to organisations, namely KEEP and KCAT.
KEEP is a regionally-funded Knowledge Transfer scheme designed to help businesses to improve their competitiveness, productivity and profits through accessing the wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise available in their local universities. It works on the same model as KTP but the programme are up to one year in length.
The Knowledge Catalyst (KCat) scheme supports partnerships between universities and Enterprise Partners such as business, charities, not-for-profit organisations and some publicly funded bodies. The scheme aims to exploit the research base in the arts and humanities for commercial and/or cultural gain.
