Open Day will reveal wealth of healthcare career options

Anglia Ruskin University is once again getting ready to welcome people from all over the East of England to its Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses for a day of discussions and activities, based on the many higher education opportunities available to them.

The forthcoming Open Day on Saturday 9 February will allow potential students from all over the East of England to find out more about undergraduate study and for this event there will be a special focus on courses and career options available within the growing area of health and social care.

Members of the University's teaching and administrative staff will be offering individuals information to help them make informed decisions about study choices, including details about various programme start dates.

The Faculties involved in the Open Day include Arts Law and Social Sciences, Science & Technology, the Ashcroft International Business School, Education and Faculty of Health and Social Care.

Anglia Ruskin University's Faculty of Health and Social Care’s Recruitment and Marketing Manager Alex Rosenthal said:

“People who want to find out more about the subjects on offer should come along on the day and talk to us.”

“We have places for our March intake on a variety of healthcare courses including Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Learning Disabilities Nursing and Operating Department Courses.”

“Also on offer are courses in Social Work, Youth Work, Social Policy, Children’s Nursing Midwifery, Complementary Medicine, Counselling and the introduction to many of these careers – Foundation Degrees in Health.”

“Friends and family are welcome to come and join in too.  It is a day for everyone to come and have a look around the campus, see the facilities, and get a feel for what university life is like.”

Anglia Ruskin University will be welcoming potential students, who are considering higher education or career development opportunities, and their families during the forthcoming Open Day.

Anglia Ruskin University Open Days generally attract 800-1000 prospective students to the campus plus members of their family and friends. There are four Open Days staged during the year. Each one is a key recruitment day for the University.
