Music fans can enjoy a host of performances from talented local bands and solo artists at Anglia Ruskin University’s Chelmsford campus next weekend (Saturday, 14 November).

Acts performing jazz, pop, acoustic, contemporary choir music and covers of current and classic hits will be playing on campus from 10am until 2pm for Anglia Ruskin’s first Music Fest event. Free hot drinks will be available and a street market will be selling tasty local produce.

Among the acts performing on the day include Frog on a Rocket, Providence Square, Vocal Reflections, Shavargo and Jazz Duo.

Sian Burnett, Community Engagement Officer for Anglia Ruskin University, said:

“There are lots of talented musicians in Chelmsford and the surrounding area and we’re delighted to be hosting some of them at our campus.
“We’ve got a really eclectic mix of acts so there will be something for everyone to enjoy. We hope to see as many people as possible coming down and enjoying themselves.”

The festival will coincide with an open day where members of the public can come along and find out more about studying at Anglia Ruskin. The open day will also take place from 10am until 2pm. To book a place on the open day, visit www.anglia.ac.uk/opendays or call 01245 686868.
