Paramedic Science taster days

Two paramedic students practising CPR Untitled Page

Have you got what it takes to become a paramedic?

Take the first step toward a rewarding career as a paramedic with our degree in paramedic science. Courses start in September 2016 and 2017 in Chelmsford and Cambridge: see some of the benefits you'll enjoy if you start studying with us this year.

Successful completion of the course and registration will allow you to work in diverse environments, delivering out-of-hospital care, including an opportunity to join an NHS ambulance service. The role of the paramedic in an ambulance trust can vary from working on an ambulance or response car carrying out emergency work, to the control room or even the helicopter emergency medical service or hazardous area response team.

Paramedics are increasingly being employed in the delivery of acute care in hospitals and in private healthcare too, for example, in event medicine at concerts or motor racing.

Why not find out more by coming to a taster day? You'll get:

  • the chance to speak to a course lecturer
  • a course presentation covering the role of the paramedic
  • practical experience of the skills lab environment
  • useful tips on applying for the course.

Please note that because of room restrictions, we can't include family or friends in taster day sessions. If they'd like to visit Anglia Ruskin, we recommend one of our open days.

Find out more about the course on our BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science prospectus page.
