Since joining the cell and molecular biology lab Sara has been involved in molecular diagnostic research in the development of molecular assays for the diagnosis of fungal, bacterial and viral infections in a clinical setting.

Background

Prior to joining ARU in 2013 Dr Sara Kirvell’s experience was in the field of neuroscience, specifically investigating the neurochemistry of a number of dementias, including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies.
