Michael Harrison is the director of the Anglia Ruskin Clinical Trial Unit.
He took a pharmacy degree at Cardiff University and went on to qualify as a pharmacist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospital in London. He worked as a hospital pharmacist for several Trusts in the South West before becoming a specialist cancer pharmacist.
Mike was then awarded a scholarship to study for an MBA in Boston, USA, where he graduated as Valedictorian. Following several years in Boston, he returned to England to take up an operational management post in the Cancer Division at Cambridge University Hospital. In 2011 he was appointed as business operations manager of the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre (CCTC), overseeing a portfolio of over 140 active commercial and local investigator led trials.
After three years at the CCTC, Mike moved to his current role at Anglia Ruskin University.
