Background

In the role of Lecturer in Healthcare Science he has worked across both Further and Higher Education for over 25 years. Gerald has held posts such as Head of Division [HE] - Health and Science, Project Manager (Healthcare Scientists) with the NHS South Yorkshire Workforce Confederation, Education and Training Directorate, Key involvement included liaising closely with key partners (e.g. Higher Education Institutions, Acute Trusts, and Professional Groups) and the responsibility for a major project ‘Making the Change Healthcare Scientists in South Yorkshire’. He has held the post of Assistant Network Coordinator, North Trent Network of Cardiac Care as part of the Cardiology Clinical Network undertaking management responsibilities. This involved liaising with Public Health Directors, Clinical Leads, and CHD Collaborative as part of the Cardiac Strategy Local delivery plan. Further experience includes British Coal Occupational Health Service and the National Health Service within Cardiology as a Senior Cardiac Clinical Scientific Officer. He had previously held the post of Secretary and Treasurer for the Association of Clinical Physiology Educators (ACPE).
