Steve McDonald is responsible for the Delivery of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and Academic Skills as well as teaching on various management and leadership modules. He researches in the area of Learning and Teaching and diversity within the workplace.

Background

Prior to joining the Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Steve worked in industry in a variety of management positions. Additionally, he has a lot of experience in setting up and developing small businesses in the following areas: hospitality, wholesale/retail and property development.

Research interests

  • Learning and teaching and the development of good pedagogical practice
  • Diversity within the workplace

His primary interests are exploring and understanding the paradigms that have been created within the workplace for minority groups and how through a better understanding of the paradigms a more inclusive workplace can be created. He is currently completing a PhD in the area of diversity in the workplace. He is also interested in exploring and understanding new teaching methods in the classroom to encourage a deeper learning for students.
