Background

Lisa is currently a Senior Lecturer in Management and is responsible for the design, development and delivery of teaching excellence across undergraduate, post-graduate and international partnerships through distance learning across the globe. Lisa also possesses experience within the development and delivery of Executive and Corporate Education programmes.

Lisa has worked for over 10 years as an established lecturer and for more than 4 years in a consultancy capacity for Newcastle University Business School as well as Kaplan Open Learning (University of Essex) and Chartered European Management Institute based in Prague.

Prior to academia, Lisa worked as a practitioner for over 10 years gaining knowledge and leadership experience obtained in a variety of senior management training and development roles within the private sector, including the financial and business service industries. Amongst others, Lisa has worked at BTplc, Toyota GB and Halifax UK Bank.

Research interests

  • Developing leaders and managers for future success and within this Lisa is very interested in researching leadership and management development within the maturing Data Centre sector, which lacks theoretical development
  • Social theory and its influence and effect on learning transfer, social learning and workplace learning and the effects of socialisation on knowledge transfer.
  • Organisational behaviour including management learning and development and the use of continuing professional development, critical reflection and reflexivity.as a strategic HRD intervention.
