Background

Jon’s role includes oversight of corporate education programmes which have included Harrods, Crawford & Company (insurance), Willmott Dixon, The British Army, The Royal Air Force, The Royal Navy, Essex County Council, Suffolk County Council, Essex Fire & Rescue Service, Manchester Fire & Rescue Service, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, Systech International, Tamdown, Basildon University Hospital, Mid Essex Health Economy. The role also includes oversight of all UK partnerships including London College of Accountancy, Kaplan, London School of Marketing, Resource Development International, Globe and the Institute of Export. This includes institutional and programme validation and the establishment of rigorous academic & quality processes.

Research interests relating to corporate education have included the quest for return on investment and the role of expectations and perceptions in the evaluation of corporate education programmes. Leadership studies have focused on leader-led relationships, values-based leadership, leadership resilience, new approaches to conflict resolution and psychodynamics of leadership. Corporate strategy studies have involved the role of contemporary approaches to strategy including emergent, entrepreneurial and political dimensions.
