After some 30 years in industry and commerce in a variety of senior roles, Adrian now brings that financial knowledge, expertise and international experience to the Business School.

After qualification, Adrian spent some 4 years in South Africa with Deloittes in audit and assurance, a challenging time during the process of political reform. Returning to the UK, Adrian joined the London operation of the Finnish Paper Mills Association, a global marketing organisation with headquarters in Helsinki. Responsibilities included the implementation of a new business model, a major quality initiative and the establishing of a group internal audit function.

Two years as financial director of a manufacturing group and an assignment for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, was followed by a return to the Finnish forest industry (UPM-Kymmene) as director responsible for global logistics strategy and performance management. Another challenging time seeing the transformation of the paper industry.

For the last 8 years, Adrian has lectured all aspects of accounting and finance to professional accounting students and has also taught on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
