Background

Zilia gained her doctorate on 'Knowledge Sharing in Virtual Organisations: The Case of Open Source Software Communities' at Durham University Business School, UK. She's held a postdoctoral post at the £12.6million RCUK funded Research Hub for Inclusion through the Digital Economy (SiDE) at Newcastle University, UK. She has been a content analyst for the Journal of Management Studies and a consultant researcher on the ESRC project 'Evaluation of Doctoral Programme Accreditations' at Durham University.

During her PhD studies, Zilia gained the Principal's award for outstanding contribution to interdisciplinary dialogue at Ustinov College, Durham University, and the award for the best postgraduate student from Durham University Business School in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health at Durham University.
