The title of Ioannis's phesis is 'Creating Resilient Supply Chains: Recognising the implications of Supply Chain Vulnerability in SME’s'.
The general observation of supply chain vulnerability management in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector is that many SMEs currently do not address the supply chain disruptions that could affect their business, and ultimately their customers. The purpose of this study is to identify and determine which supply chain risk management (SCRM) model/s is/are best suited for small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) in UK. The risk assessment model/s can help SME’s focus which functional or supply chain process areas of the company need to take action to mitigate specific risk types (e.g., quality failures, logistics failures, etc.). It also helps SME’s visualize the interdependencies among functions and processes to specific risk types. Ioannis is supervised by Dr Helen Benton.
