Dr Hermann Rapp is a senior lecturer at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School. His background is in consultancy, the software and telecommunications industries, and banking, where he worked for more than ten years in various management positions.
During his time in industry, Hermann was exposed to all facets of general management and project management for clients from the public and private sectors, and for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as international firms. He is a qualified coach and has worked with and taught managers in executive education, consultancy and talent development programmes in several European countries. He supervises dissertations at Masters and doctoral level.
Current research interests are focused on information systems research and innovation theory. Research projects include data standards and innovation in the financial industry, business intelligence and semantic analytics.
Dr Rapp has teaching experience in Higher Education since 2004 at Undergraduate, Master, Doctoral and Executive levels. Topics taught include Operations Management (UG, PG), Project Management (PG), Systems and Operations Management (UG), Business Analytics (UG), Research Methods (PG), Web Programming for Managers (UG) and Academic Skills (UG).
Dr Rapp has led consultancy projects in strategic management and information technology. He has also led seminars and workshops in Executive Education and Talent Development in the areas of knowledge management and project management.
