Identity document

On the test day you must present the valid passport or EU national identity card that you used to register for the test with, otherwise you will not be allowed to sit the test. Photocopies of your passport will not be accepted on the test day. Please do not apply for a test if you are not in possession of a valid ID document.

Cancellation of a booking

We require 5 weeks’ notice to cancel your test, less than this will result in the loss of your whole test fee. A fee of £30 is retained for administration costs and the remaining amount will be refunded into your bank account, within 2 to 3 weeks of requesting the cancellation. All cancellations must be made in writing (email or letter).

Transferring of a booking

You must give 5 weeks’ notice if you wish to transfer the date of your test. A charge of £30 will be made for each transfer. Only 2 transfers can be made, if you wish to transfer for a 3rd time you will have to re-apply and pay the test fee again. All transfers must be made in writing (email or letter).

Please note: if you book a place within the 5 week deadline you will not be able to cancel or transfer your application without losing your whole test fee.

Absences from a Test Day

If you are absent from your test you will lose your whole test fee. However, if you are absent due to illness and you can provide the centre with a medical certificate, you can apply for a refund or transfer. In addition to providing a medical certificate you will need to complete a refund/transfer form. This must be submitted no later than 5 working days after the test date.

Late Arrival on a Test Day

Registration is at 9.00am. Candidates who are late to the registration session will not be allowed to take the test and will lose the whole test fee.
