Childhood Obesity Prevention

Untitled Page

One in five children in the UK is overweight by the time they start school, providing a strong rationale for prevention during infancy.

Our research programme looks at ways of communicating these issues to parents, focusing on obesity risk and prevention strategies.

These pages are designed to inform parents, healthcare professionals and the academic community about work that is being undertaken in the East of England and the East Midlands around risk identification and prevention during infancy.

This programme of research is led by Professor Sarah Redsell. For further information please contact
