Anice has been contributing to nursing education and practice for last 20 years in India and in England with a keen interest in the area of child nursing with specialisation in neonatal nursing.

Anice was first qualified as a registered nurse and midwife in India, worked in Children’s ward and neonatal intensive care units in early years. After completion of postgraduate nursing course, continued as a lecturer in India. Has been in England since 2003 and Practiced in NHS for nine years in a variety of settings including Orthopaedic ward, Children’s ward and Neonatal unit as a sister, mentor and an educational link. Has been working in close collaboration with Bliss in setting up a parent support network for Broomfield NICU. Anice has been working as a Lecturer in ARU since 2013.

Research interests

The research project for Masters study was focussed on ‘exploring the occurrence of low birth weight and the effectiveness of a planned teaching programme on Care of the low birth weight new-borns’.

Module tutor for ‘Care of the seriously ill child and young person’ module in Chelmsford. Other teaching responsibilities such as personal tutor, research supervision for undergraduate major project and link lecturer. Also has been a lecturer in India for diploma and degree nursing courses.
