Kanchana became a primary school teacher in 2004 before joining FastTrack to advance her leadership skills.

Background

Kanchana has taught in a number of primary schools in Hertfordshire and has worked in the Local Authority as a Leading Teacher in Mathematics. She was a Headteacher before joining the PGCE Primary team.

Research interests

  • Leadership aspirations of minority ethnic school teachers and leaders
  • Supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Using Mathematics as a tool to develop a love of learning

  • Brief descriptions of PhD/DProf supervision - preferably limited to one line each, including recently successful and current supervisions
