School of Education & Social Care

“The resources available to you are one of the high points in developing yourself as a student and a working professional.” – Beverley, BA (Hons) Social Work

We firmly believe that learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom.  Using a forward-thinking approach, we encourage you to actively develop transferable skills that are relevant across all sectors of the education and social care community.  Having trained social workers as well as education and social policy professionals for over two decades, we continue to produce graduates who make a difference to people’s lives.

Working in partnership with the Health Care Professions Council and over 400 schools, we offer both undergraduate and postgraduate courses that have been designed with only you in mind.  No matter what route you take, you'll leave us a confident and able professional in education or social care related environments.

During your time with us, you'll gain an ideal balance between academic theory and practical experience.  You'll be taught by nationally and internationally recognised tutors, focusing on the latest knowledge and evidence in your field.  Alongside this, you'll build on your skills through our exciting placement opportunities and modern facilities that include an Early Years Resource and Research Room.
