Marina joined the GSI in 2015 as a PhD researcher in Consumption and Change, and her supervisors are Dr Chris Foulds and Dr Rosie Robison.

Background

Marina has worked with environmental education and conservation projects, inside and outside academia, since her graduation studies.

Prior to joining the GSI, she concluded her master’s dissertation in a research topic encouraged by WWF-UK, entitled Triple goals of a climate smart, pro-poor and sustainable public policy: lessons from REDD+ in Acre, Brazil.

Research interests

Marina's PhD thesis is about alternative food businesses, which are focused on the provision of public goods instead of profits maximization, and how they may contribute to sustainability transitions in the food sector.
