Science activities

Experiment, discover and have fun with a variety of hands-on science activities. Find out how you can generate electricity with lemons, construct switches to control a burglar alarm and send secret Morse code messages. Thought your hearing was good? Come along and try out the ‘big ear’ and put it to the test!

Time to get techy! - 10.30am–12.30pm

Experience virtual reality with an HTC Vive headset; programme tiny robots in an Ozobot workshop; and develop your computer coding skills with Code Club.

Arts and crafts - 10.30am–3pm

The space adventure begins... This arts and crafts activity is perfect for all children who are longing for a space mission. Make your own space rocket or robot to help you on your mission and get you to the moon!

Free face painting - 10.30am–3pm

Join in the fun and transform into a robot, spaceman, alien or whatever your imagination can create!

Essex Book Bus

Jump on board for a literary ride of your life. Meet David Solomons, author of My Gymteacher is an Alien Overlord and My Brother is a Superhero. Join him for story telling from 11am–12pm and 2pm–3pm.

Our café will be open from 10.30am–3pm serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks.
