We know very little about how the brain works as a processor of information but we can measure what goes in and what comes out. The rate at which a healthy human mind can learn novel information is low in terms of bits per second. The talk will describe the evidence and explore the widespread implications for humans, robots, intelligent networks and for the future evolution of intelligent life itself. With Richard Epworth (Independent consultant).

Joint event with the Institute of Engineering and Technology and Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society.
