An online tea business, an app for football supporters, and an international recruitment firm took the honours as Anglia Ruskin University's Big Pitch 2015 competition drew to a close.
Organised by the centre for enterprise, development and research (CEDAR) at the university's Lord Ashcroft business school, the competition sees entrepreneurs pitch their ideas for new businesses in one-minute videos.
From this initial batch of hopefuls, 25 ideas were picked for a business bootcamp, where they received training on all aspects of business from CEDAR's team.
The best seven then got the chance pitch to a panel of judges from industry, headed up by veteran entrepreneur Walter Herriot. They also faced a grilling from the judges and the audience.
