What is Innovation Bridge?

Innovation Bridge is a new three-year £3.896 million economic development project, running until summer 2019 offering free support to help small to medium sized businesses innovate and grow.

How can Innovation Bridge help you?

Through this programme you can gain:

  • access to our or another University's specialist expertise and knowledge that can help you develop an action plan that will support the introduction of a new product or service into the firm or to market.
  • access to a grant programme that will assist with the implementation of your innovation action plan.
What exactly is the process?

Step 1: Register for the project online and then there is an initial free assessment conducted by our Business Development Manager, either face-to-face or over the phone with you

Step 2: Based on this assessment, the Business Development Manager will source a specialist academic who will develop a free innovation action plan outlining potential support to develop a new product or service. The report will recommend a range of support activities and resources applicable to your requirements, for example: identifying equipment; recommending prototyping and drawing on Anglia Ruskin's existing research.

Step 3: You can then apply for a grant of up to 30% of the costs that will help you implement elements of the recommended innovation action plan.

The match-funded grant programme enables a business to further develop the new products or services and claim up to 30% of the total investment (between £1,000 and £15,000) as a grant.
