Apprenticeships with Degrees at Work

Degree apprenticeships offer relevant and cost-effective work-based learning tailored to the real world.

Apprentices achieve a university qualification at degree or Masters level. Meanwhile, employers will benefit from high-quality learning and maximise the potential of the Government’s new funding regime.

Degree apprenticeships start with universities like ours working in partnership with employers and professional bodies to define and create programmes designed to meet skills needs today, and in the future.

In April 2017, all employers with a payroll of over £3 million will automatically pay a levy of 0.5% - this is known as the Apprenticeship Levy. However, employers will be able to recoup this Levy by investing in Apprenticeships. In addition, there is further funding available from the Government to support employers with the costs of apprenticeships, irrespective of the size of the organisation. So, by engaging with apprenticeships, employers of all sizes will be able to get more out than they put in.

Anglia Ruskin University is at the forefront of the development of degree apprenticeships. We work with a range of partners in the development of degree apprenticeships in:
