Hi guys and dolls, So it’s finally here – week 12! See how quick it’s flown by.

I’ve spent a lot of time commuting this semester, and I can honestly say I’m so glad week 12 is finally here to give me a break from the train disruptions and delays! To all my fellow commuters – well done, I seriously respect you all so much. This I the first time I’ve had to commute from outside of Cambridge and it’s the most tiring (and sometimes very unpredictable) thing ever so I am so glad to not have to do it for a while.

Final week of lectures before exams: stress levels are as high as ever, and for those of you who don’t have any January exams… lucky you! I guess you have time to relax over the festive holidays. But we’ve made it this far so another week is nothing really, right?

Though I know this break will be very busy, I am still so so so excited about Christmas. I’ve got my festive jumpers out and everything. I picked up a great one with sequins from Primark – love it! Nothing like a good Christmassy jumper to lighten the mood, and the pre-Christmas sales are great at the moment, definitely grab your bargains while you can (never too late to do the Christmas shopping). One thing I did wish I was doing this year was secret Santa – annoying as it can be when you end up with someone who is hard to shop for… ha, I do miss that tradition! I have picked up a jewellery advent calendar though, makes a nice change from the standard choco one and great for any fashionistas.

Moving back to final week of semester, it was jam-packed for me with lectures and final submissions, and I’m sure it was for many of you lot too, so good luck to everyone with your work, your deadlines and with exams. Stay motivated and hopefully all will be well!

I’ll just leave you with two of my favourite inspirational quotes to keep you going over the next few weeks. Enjoy!

“Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.”
Og Mandino

“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.”
Confucius

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and New Year.

Keep smiling, ciao for now.
