It’s been a while since the last blog, but things have been crazy. My responsibilities at work have increased, so I’ve been working longer, and it’s harder to find the time to study. It’s great to get involved in big projects, and to feel like an important part of the team.

It was exam time last time I blogged, and the results weren’t as good as I had hoped, although overall my modules were just a fraction off a first, which is encouraging. Must revise harder next time!

This semester we only have two modules, which should be easier than last semester’s three, but we all know it’s not like that. In the back of my mind I’ve been trying to think of good dissertation subjects that should have plenty of information available, and are more importantly, are interesting. My work have been pretty good, and given me subject areas that relate to housebuilding to look into, and I have a follow-up meeting with the boss next week, just to check things are OK.

Also, since the last blog and as Student Course Rep, I was asked by the Faculty’s Dean to give an update on how the course is going, which involved asking my fellow students for their thoughts on how it was going in their eyes. Generally things are good, but we have had some communication issues with another class of students, as we are involved in a group project. Thankfully, things seem to be fine now after a discussion with lecturers.

It’s getting towards the end of term, with only three weeks left, and as a part-time student time sure does fly. Only one year to go!
