Directions from A14 East (Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds)

From the A14 take the A1303 exit for Cambridge (junction 35). At the next roundabout go straight on (2nd exit) and you'll pass Cambridge Airport on your left. At the junction with traffic-lights carry straight on. Immediately after at the roundabout go straight on (2nd exit) and you'll soon pass Cambridge United Football Ground on your left. As you go over the railway bridge, the road bears round to the left and you'll see B&Q on your left. Go straight over the traffic-lights and then straight through the next six lots of traffic lights, until you come to a roundabout. Keep in the left lane as you approach the roundabout and then turn left (1st exit). You are now on East Road.

Follow either of the car park directions below. (The Grafton (East) Car Park is the first you'll come to, while Queen Anne Terrace is further on, but a little nearer to the theatre).

For the Grafton (East) Car Park:

As you come off the roundabout there are two lanes of traffic - get in the right hand lane and enter the slip lane for the Grafton (East) Car Park, turning right at the traffic-lights. Once parked, turn right coming out of the car park and continue walking down East Road, passing the British Heart Foundation charity shop. Continue walking along East Road, passing a parade of shops on your right (including Tesco Express) until you come to the pedestrian crossing opposite Anglia Ruskin University. Cross the road and enter the university through the main entrance at the bottom of the steps ahead. Walk down the corridor towards the University Library and look for the entrance on the right into the Mumford Theatre.

For the Queen Anne Terrace Car Park:

As you come off the roundabout there are two lanes of traffic (either lane is fine). You will see the Vue Cinema and Grafton Shopping Centre on your right. At the pedestrian crossing the traffic merges to a single lane.

Go over the crossing, passing Tesco Express on your right and then Anglia Ruskin campus on your left and the Zion Baptist Church. At the traffic-light crossroads ahead, carry straight on passing the Parkside Swimming pool on your left. Almost immediately take the slip road to your left - the entrance to the Queen Anne Terrace Car Park.
Once parked, turn right coming out of the car park onto Gonville Place and pass Parkside Swimming Pool. At the crossroads continue straight on. Almost immediately pass through a gap in the railing fence on your right - this path takes your diagonally across Petersfield, a small park area. At the other side of the park, the path leads you into a small side street. From here you can see the Bradmore Street entrance into Anglia Ruskin University directly ahead. Once inside turn right, walk down the corridor towards the University Library and look for the entrance on the right into the Mumford Theatre.
