Born in Stellenbosch, South Africa, David Earl studied piano and composition at Trinity College of Music, where he gave his first Wigmore Hall recital and a live recital broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

He has performed widely, appearing regularly at London venues, in the US, and much of Europe. His concerto repertoire includes the Viennese classics, many from the 19th century and, among several from the 20th, the pianos concertos by Arthur Bliss and John Joubert, both of which he studied with the composers.

David will be performing Chopin and Schubert (Sonata No. 16 in A minor D845)

This performance is part of our Lunchtime Concert Series.
