Registering for the online service

In order to purchase a ticket online, you will have to register with us as follows:

Existing customers

If you have purchased tickets from us before by phone or in person, please contact the Box Office by phone or email in the first instance and we will register your existing client account for online use. We will issue you with a username and password. You will be required to change your password when you log in to the site for the first time.

New customers

Registering is a simple and quick process. You will be prompted to register after selecting tickets and before you reach the payment screen. It is important to provide us with correct contact information at this point to enable us to get in touch in the unlikely event of a change or cancellation.

Passwords

When creating a password for your account, you should aim to make it secure and unpredictable, with at least 8 characters, using a combination of numbers and letters (special characters can also be used e.g. @&%!) - example password: sh@ke5peare

Your account

Please take care to enter your details accurately using title case, e.g 28 New Road - not 28 new road. Please avoid putting punctuation or non-alphanumeric characters into the address and post code fields.
Once registered with us, you will be able to:

  • maintain your own account details - e.g. change your address and phone number if you move
  • have access to your booking history
  • select and change your preferences for how you wish to receive information from us about our events

Seat selection

The online booking system allows you to select the seats of your choice from those available. Bear in mind that the seat selection plan is a representation of the actual seating layout and that all of the seats in the theatre are behind one another - only the seats in row A, and seat B2, have no seats directly in front of them. If in any doubt please refer to the seating plan.

The online booking system does not allow you to proceed with a purchase if your selection results in a single seat being left in a row. This is because it may be harder to match the remaining seat with other customer requirements. Please contact the Box Office if this causes you any difficulty and we will be happy to help with your seat allocation.

Please note that performances cease to be available online three hours before the performance is due to commence.

Customers with special access requirements

If you or any of your party have special access requirements (for example one of your party uses a wheelchair), please contact the Box Office by phone or in person to book your tickets. There is an allocation of seats held for this purpose.

Concessions

Select the ticket type before selecting the seats.

We are unable to apply concessionary rates to tickets retrospectively, so it's important that you select the appropriate ticket types at the time of purchase. 

Concession prices usually apply to children (up to age 16), full-time students, senior citizens (60+), unwaged and registered disabled, unless shown otherwise. When attending the performance you should be prepared to produce proof of eligibility for the concessionary rate tickets you've booked if requested to do so.

Group bookings

The online Box Office system will not allow you to purchase more than 10 seats for a single performance. We ask therefore that you contact the Box Office by phone or in person to make a booking for more than 10 people.

Card types accepted

VISA Electron, Maestro, Mastercard, UK Maestro, VISA Credit, VISA Debit, BMS CLIP.

Booking fees

There are currently no booking fees in operation for the online service. The only additional charge applied is if you choose to have tickets posted to you.
