ARITI works with over 20 local and international partners for various research and academic development projects.
In Anglia Ruskin University, we work with other research institutes or groups, particularly the Vision and Eye Research Unit (VERU) and the Medical Engineering Research Group (MERG). We also work with Bradford Royal Infirmary, and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. We work with number of business partners, including Pow Health Ltd, Siveco Ltd, Cupris Health Ltd and Good Life Technology Ltd.
Our i Lab1 recently agreed a knowledge transfer partnership with MGE. This partnership will assist MGE in embedding the capability to develop and commercialise a new 'smart' assisted medical pump that facilitates self-assessment and self-diagnosis of patients. This will diversify and enhance MGE's product range and internal capabilities, allowing the company to create a long term strategic advantage.
Our i Lab1 also recently won the Newton Research Funds on the project “Mobile based tools for an automated detection of tuberculosis (TB-Test)” with £100,000. The project started on April 2016 and we are in collaboration with University Putra Malaysia, Pow Health Ltd, and Rapid Labs Ltd.
We're also involved in a project with the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, funded by the Department for International Development (DfID).
As well as working in partnership with international organisations, members of our team are involved in organising software, knowledge, information management and application (SKIMA) conferences, workshops and seminars around the world. Recent events have taken place in China, Thailand and Malaysia.
