Abstract

Mark Phillips will examine the constantly changing threat landscape as seen by Malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.com). This will include threats such as malvertising, ransomware and CEO / CFO fraud. Mark will also discuss the advice Malwarebytes give to their customers in order to protect themselves and their business. Finally, Mark will introduce findings from a recent report written Malwarebytes and commissioned by Osterman Research. This report focuses on their latest research into ransomware.

Biography

Mark Phillips joined Malwarebytes in January 2016 as the UK and Ireland’s first Senior Sales Engineer. He has worked in information technology for 20 years, spending the last 12 focused solely on it security. Prior to Malwarebytes, Mark held a number of senior presales and technical account management positions at leading security vendors Trend Micro and most recently FireEye. Mark has worked across industry sectors such as finance, retail, manufacturing, healthcare and government and from mid to large enterprise customers throughout his security career. He understands the challenges that companies face in today’s continual and rapidly changing threat landscape.
